In partnership with Levine Museum of the New South, the Charlotte Chamber hosted last month a special MWBE Connect introducing the “From Sits-ins to Eat-ins” community program series that commemorated the 50th anniversary of Charlotte’s desegregation in May 1963.

Fortune 500 headquarters rankings
Six of the companies featured in the latest Fortune 500 list are headquartered in Mecklenburg County, ranking Charlotte 10th nationally in number of Fortune 500 headquarters and representing more than $162.9 billion in revenue for 2012.

On the Road: Raleigh Bus Trip
In May, the Charlotte Chamber took a busload of members to Raleigh for the annual advocacy trip. The trip was more intense than in recent years given issues such as regulatory reform, tax reform, the airport authority and transportation.
