The list includes 957 firms in Charlotte/Mecklenburg with sales of $1 million or more annually. Another impressive indicator of Charlotte’s business strength is that 31 companies in this listing reported sales exceeding $1 billion. Of the Million Dollar Corporations located in Charlotte, 525 have headquarters here. Seven of these headquartered firms are ranked among the Fortune 500 list of largest national companies. Those operations rank Charlotte seventh in total number of headquartered Fortune 500 companies in the nation.

The diversity of Charlotte’s million dollar companies can be seen in the chart placed below.
