Charlotte Chamber Diversity and Talent Development Fund
The Diversity and Talent Development Fund supports the Charlotte Chamber’s work in promoting diversity and inclusion in the Charlotte business community and developing diverse talent as a competitive advantage for Charlotte’s economy. The desired outcome of Diversity and Talent Development Fund initiatives is to cultivate diverse membership and participation in the Charlotte Chamber and engagement in the broader business community. The fund’s portfolio of programs includes Emerging Business Leaders, Charlotte Chamber Young Professionals and Power of Women.

The 2012-2013 Diversity & Inclusion Annual Report is a summary of the Charlotte Chamber’s D&I programs and initiatives for the previous program year. Highlights include recaps of Perspectives in Leadership, Emerging Business Leaders and Charlotte Chamber Young Professionals.

The publication also includes an overview of the “Can Women Really Have It All?” program which helped inspire the new Power of Women (POW!) series that will be launched in 2014.

Emerging Business Leaders
Emerging Business Leaders (EBL) is a talent development program designed to enhance the leadership competencies of high-potential, diverse professionals who will ultimately create competitive advantage for Charlotte’s workforce and economy.

Charlotte Chamber Young Professionals
The Charlotte Chamber Young Professionals (CCYPs) develops informational programs, networking events and civic engagement opportunities for chamber members and non-chamber members who are 21-39 years of age.

Diversity Partners and International Chambers
The Charlotte Chamber has partnered with numerous organizations in and around Charlotte, to offer their members a Diversity Partner Membership in the Charlotte Chamber. These membership programs are designed to ensure that our partner organizations work closely together to build a strong future for Charlotte and provide additional opportunities to our respective members.
