Third, don’t make promises you can’t keep for your customers and employees. Customers will move to the competition and employees become disgruntled (they are you most valuable assets). Fourth, keep finances in order, be modest with travel expenses and shop for services that are needed to run a business. Fifth, use a reverse philosophy on finances. Government and businesses use budgets and tend to budget anything they can think of whether necessary or not. The motto usually is "It’s in the budget, so we will spend what is allocated." This is wrong. Instead, determine the real necessities on a daily, on-going basis, watch small expenses and carefully plan larger investments.
