CoaLogix undertakes major
Charlotte expansion

Governor Beverly Perdue announced today that CoaLogix Inc., through its subsidiary SCR-Tech LLC, will establish a second manufacturing and R+D facility in Charlotte. CoaLogix is a leading provider of selective catalytic reduction (SCR) services and catalyst regeneration, a technology used by power generation facilities to reduce nitrous oxide emissions.

CoaLogix’ SCR-Tech unit currently operates a manufacturing and catalyst regeneration facility on Mt. Holly Road in western Mecklenburg County. The group’s second facility will operate at 11707 Steele Creek Road, a 140,000 sq. ft. southwest Charlotte industrial building that CoaLogix will lease in stages over the next 12 months. The new facility will create approximately 60 new jobs and represents an investment of more than $12.4 million in capital equipment, lease payments and new technologies.

Gary Stephenson of SouthEast Commercial Real Estate represented CoaLogix in lease negotiations. Anne Johnson and Bryan Crutcher of CB Richard Ellis represented the building’s owner.

The Charlotte Chamber worked closely with CoaLogix and SCR-Tech over the past 18 months to address expansion-related issues. The North Carolina Department of Commerce, the City of Charlotte and Mecklenburg County also provided critical support.

“CoaLogix is excited about increasing our production capacity in the Charlotte area, and as a result, stimulating the local economy through job growth and new capital investments” stated Bill McMahon, President and CEO of CoaLogix. “By expanding our operations, we will enhance our ability to offer the highest level of service to our customers. We greatly appreciate the Charlotte Chamber’s help and support along with that of state, county, and city authorities to keep our company in this exciting, dynamic community.”
