Critical Systems Chooses Charlotte

Critical Systems, a full service life safety and security company has opened a sales and service office in the Charlotte Commerce Center located at 4201 - J Stuart Andrew Blvd. The company provides inspections and service for fire alarm systems and installation of security systems for commercial buildings. Some of the specific services, inspection and installation areas they offer are fire alarm systems, fire suppression, fire extinguishers, access control, CCTV, gas detection, mass notification, sound masking, white noise, paging, background music, voice & data, intercom and security systems sales. Critical Systems is headquartered in Atlanta, GA.

The Charlotte division currently employs 3 full-time workers with plans to expand to 20-30 employees in the next 3-5 years.

"We launched an expansion study in November 2007on cities in the surrounding southern states which included Charlotte, Tampa, Jacksonville, Birmingham and Nashville,” says Bill VanLoan, President of Critical Systems, “Charlotte stood out far above the rest with its similarities to Atlanta and mainly with its large office and commercial building portfolio. We used multiple local resources, including the Charlotte Chamber to study the economic environment in making our decision for Charlotte.”

Mercedes Merritt with Colliers Pinkard represented Critical Systems in lease negotiations. Tim Robertson with CB Richard Ellis represented the building owner.
