Turman Commercial Painters
Expands East Coast Hub
Turman Commercial Painters, the West Coast’s largest commercial painting contractor, announced today plans to expand East Coast hub operations in Charlotte.
The company has acquired a 10,010 sq. ft. industrial flex building at 1448 Center Park Drive in Coffey Creek Business Park near Charlotte Douglas International Airport. The purchase closely follows Turman’s October 2009 announcement of initial Charlotte operations in space leased on a short-term basis.
Keith Bell of First Commercial Real Estate Advisors represented Turman in purchase negotiations. The building owner was represented by Jay Vaughn of Coldwell Banker Commercial Meca.
Turman CEO Dave Theobald projects continued growth in Charlotte and expects headcount will expand over the next 18 months to 3 or 4 estimators and 40 to 50 field staff members.
