National discount food store
opens Charlotte location
Save-A-Lot Food Stores, the nation’s leading hard discount grocery chain, has opened a Charlotte location that will add 25 new jobs.
Extending its commitment to provide shoppers with high quality groceries at a low price, the company has opened four other stores throughout North Carolina: Kannapolis, Shelby, Fayetteville and Lexington.
With nearly 1,200 stores throughout 39 states, Save-A-Lot Food Stores is committed to providing families easy access to quality, affordable and even healthier groceries. Save-A-Lot offers a savings of up to 40 percent on groceries when compared to conventional stores. In the company’s official press release, Bill Shaner, President and CEO, stated: “Save-A-Lot operates smaller stores, and we carry the most popular grocery items which positions us to better serve families who demand convenience, quality and consistently low prices.”
Save-A-Lot licensee the Saver Group operates 11 stores throughout the state and will host grand opening activities March 4th and 5th at their Charlotte store (3033 Freedom Drive) with ribbon cuttings, in-store sampling and give-aways.
