Hewitt Associates to add 463 jobs in Charlotte

North Carolina Governor Beverly Perdue announced today that Hewitt Associates will expand its Charlotte operations, adding 463 new jobs at an average salary of $43,600.

Hewitt Associates (NYSE: HEW) was founded in 1940 and is a global leader in human resources consulting and outsourcing solutions. The company’s benefits and HR administration businesses are based in Charlotte and operate in Meridian Corporate Center, University Research Park. With global headquarters in Lincolnshire, Illinois, Hewitt has offices in over 30 countries and employs 23,000.

Earlier today, North Carolina’s Economic Investment Committee approved a Job Development Investment Grant to support Hewitt’s expansion. Company executives expect the 463 new jobs to be created over the next three years.

The Charlotte Chamber worked with Hewitt Associates, the North Carolina Department of Commerce and the North Carolina Community College System to support the company’s expansion.
