Czech hospital bed maker Linet selects Charlotte

Linet, a global leader in the design and manufacture of high-tech hospital beds, has opened U.S. headquarters, marketing, sales and technical service operations in Charlotte. 

Linet Americas, Inc. recently leased 10,650 sq. ft. of office and warehouse space in Harris Corners Corporate Park at Exit 18, I-77 north. Caldwell Rose and Mike Wiles of NAI Southern Real Estate represented the company in lease negotiations. Chris Perri represented landlord Beacon Partners.

Within the next three years, Linet Americas expects to add over 50 jobs in its Charlotte operations.

Linet’s parent company, Linet spol. s r.o. of Slaný, Czech Republic, manufactures a broad range of hospital and nursing care equipment. With customers in over 70 countries, the company is among the world’s top five exporters of hospital beds.

Colin Bain, President & CEO of Linet Americas, cites Charlotte’s strong healthcare platform, international hub airport and customer access, excellent shipping logistics and cost advantages as reasons for placing U.S. headquarters here. “Charlotte has a great business community,” adds Bain, “and we’re glad to be part of one of the most livable cities in the U.S.”

The Charlotte Regional Partnership generated initial contact with Linet in the fall of 2009. Since then, the Charlotte Chamber has supported the company during its U.S. start-up.
