Classic Graphics Expands Charlotte Footprint
Classic Graphics, a graphics communications company with facilities in Charlotte and Morrisville, is moving to 8335 IBM Drive, Innovation Park, the former IBM complex near Harris Blvd. and I-85. The company will expand their Charlotte footprint by almost 70 percent to 180,000 square feet and expects to be fully operational in their new space March 2011.
Operating out of two separate Charlotte facilities proved to be a logistical issue for the Classic Graphics. Combining both facilities under one roof will enable the company to enhance mailing services, provide new digital capabilities, expand the press room with the addition of an eight-color press as well as operate a leaner manufacturing process. In addition, the new facility will have increased security and technological capabilities to better serve the financial services industry.
“We began as a small business — two guys with a dream and a $15,000 family loan. Choosing Charlotte, NC as a location has proven to be one of our best decisions. Over the past 27 years we have been fortunate to be in a city with strong leadership and growth,” said David Pitts, President of Classic Graphics. “Charlotte has afforded us the opportunity to build relationships with the country’s most notable companies in a vibrant and thriving business atmosphere. Our move allows us to continue to align with the development of our clients and their increasingly sophisticated communication needs. We are excited about the future of our city and our company.”
Blair Bryan and AJ Whitehead of Jones Lang LaSalle represented BECO South LLC, the owner of Innovation Park. Chris Skibinski of Jones Lang LaSalle represented Classic Graphics.
Classic Graphics is a platinum level sponsor of the Charlotte Chamber Economic Development Fund.
