ISIS Fund Services to launch Charlotte office

 ISIS Fund Services Ltd., a Bermuda-based hedge fund and alternative investments administrator, will launch a full service and administration subsidiary in Charlotte in January 2011.

Industry veteran Kristin Steele was recently named president of ISIS Fund Services USA, Inc. and will lead the new operation from an office in Ballantyne Corporate Park. Jenna Edelman of The Bissell Companies handled lease negotiations for the park’s owner.

ISIS has also hired Steven Guptill, another industry veteran, as Senior Account Manager of the Charlotte office. Over the course of 2011, the company expects to hire additional staff as it expands U.S. operations.

The Charlotte Chamber worked with ISIS Fund Services during the company’s local start-up. ISIS officials cite Charlotte’s reasonable operating costs, talented financial services labor pool and supply of recent university graduates as key factors in their decision to locate the company’s first U.S. subsidiary here.
