German manufacturer opens facility in Charlotte
SINGLE Temperature Controls, Inc. has opened a full-scale marketing, distribution and service facility in Charlotte. The company is a subsidiary of SINGLE Temperiertechnik GmbH of Hochdorf, Germany, Europe’s leading manufacturer of high-performance liquid control systems.
SINGLE recently leased 7,900 sq. ft. in South Point Business Park in southwest Charlotte. John Wharton of Cassidy Turley represented the building owner in lease negotiations. The space build-out includes a complete testing facility that meets future manufacturing requirements and enhances SINGLE’s current ability to offer after-sales service. The company currently employs three and expects to grow.
SINGLE’s U.S. efforts were launched in 2008 with the hiring of Michael Bloomhuff, national sales manager, who continues to expand the company’s U.S. customer base in medical plastics, electronics, aerospace composites and pharmaceuticals. He cites Charlotte’s central location to key industry targets and the city’s skilled technical labor base as primary reasons for SINGLE’s decision to locate here.
The Charlotte Chamber visited SINGLE’s German parent company in 2008 and assisted the U.S. subsidiary with its expansion to South Point Business Park.
