BAE Systems Shared Services Chooses
Charlotte
for 176 New Jobs
North Carolina Governor Beverly Perdue, announced today that BAE Systems, Inc. will create 176 new jobs over the next three years and invest $3 million in their new office. Most of the positions at the new shared services center will consist of human resources, payroll and accounting functions. The average annual wage for the new jobs will be $51,392 not including benefits although salaries will vary by job function.
“The Charlotte Chamber is thrilled to be a part of BAE Systems Shared Services announcement,” said Charlotte Chamber President Bob Morgan. “Despite a tough economy, we have continued to attract new businesses to Charlotte and help create much needed jobs.”
BAE Systems, Inc, the second largest global defense security and aerospace company in the world, delivers a full range of products and services for air, land and naval forces, as well as advanced electronics, security, information technology solutions and customer support services.
Although a specific office location has not been announced, the operation plans to open its doors in the second quarter of 2011. Mark Ayers with CRESA Partners in conjunction with the CRESA Partners Washington DC office is representing BAE Systems Shared Services in their real estate transaction yet to be announced.
