CapTech, a private IT consulting firm based in Richmond, VA., has opened an office in Uptown Charlotte. With the move, the company expects to double its local workforce to 20 employees by year end.
The company recently leased a 3,626 sq. ft. suite in the Charlotte Plaza building at 201 S. College Street. Roger Cobb of NAI/Southern Real Estate advised CapTech during its search for space and represented the company in lease negotiations. Anne Vulcano of CB Richard Ellis represented Hines, the building owner.
Co-founded in 1997 by Sandy Williamson, CEO, CapTech offers a full suite of services including IT management consulting, systems integration, data management and business intelligence. CapTech’s customer base includes well known companies in the financial services, healthcare, consumer goods and retail sectors as well as a number of state government entities.
“With recent client acquisitions, we are accelerating our growth in Charlotte,” says Sandy Williamson, CapTech CEO. “Charlotte is the financial services hub of the South and offers us a unique opportunity to build-out our infrastructure and ramp up our team to work with clients across the nation.”
CapTech plans to service several of its new clients out of the Charlotte office. The company was recently awarded contracts with Raymond James, the state of North Carolina and several Charlotte based corporations.
The Charlotte Chamber and Charlotte Center City Partners worked with CapTech over the past six months as the company evaluated its options.
