Connextions to create 1200 new jobs
North Carolina Governor Beverly Perdue announced today in a press conference at the Charlotte Chamber that Connextions, a healthcare exchange, technology, consulting and business process outsourcing solutions provider, plans to create more than 800 jobs in its new Charlotte facility and 400 expansion jobs in the company’s existing Concord contact center. Connextions will lease a 61,000 sf facility in Forest Park near I-77 and Arrowood Boulevard in Southwest Charlotte.
“Creating jobs is my number one priority, so I am happy that Connextions is putting 1,200 people to work,” said Gov. Bev Perdue. “Connextions knows first-hand that North Carolina’s investments in education, workforce training and infrastructure make this state the best place to do business. I hope they will continue to grow their business here for many years to come.”
The Connextions Charlotte facility will provide a marketplace for purchasers of health insurance who seek ideal matches on plans, benefits and premiums. The facility will focus on sales to individuals and companies, customer retention, and customer service for benefits claims and other healthcare matters such as wellness. Connextions also services individuals over 65 in the Medicare conversion process.
“We continue to promote job growth in our city, and I am excited to welcome Connextions to Charlotte and our greater region,“ said Mayor Foxx. “By bringing 800 new jobs to Charlotte and another 400 to our region, this announcement is another sign that our city is a competitive site for business and is well-positioned for the future.”
