Kai’s Kookies & More opens
store at South End

Kai’s Kookies & More LLC has opened its first 1,200 sq.ft. bake and coffee shop at the Crosland Center at 3905 South Blvd. The shop will create 3 new jobs and seat up to 14 people.

Kai’s Kookies & More LLC is a family-owned bakery that specializes in handmade custom-designed cookies and cheesecakes. Tracy Watkins, a former electrical engineer who wanted to be more available to her daughter Kai, launched the cookie business with her husband Patrick in 2002. Today, Kai’s Kookies & More products can be found in eight restaurants in the Charlotte area.

The new shop at the Crosland Center will open officially on Saturday, July 16 with free coffee, cookies, massages and a Kai’s Kookies decorating contest.

Gregory Hardee of Keller Williams represented Kai’s Kookies & More in lease negotiations. Ian Bruce of Merrifield Patrick Vermillion represented the owner of Crosland Center.
