Lime Energy relocates headquarters to Huntersville
Company plans to add 50-75 jobs
Lime Energy, a leading provider of clean energy solutions, announced today the relocation of its headquarters from Chicago to Huntersville, NC. The company will consolidate IT, accounting and engineering functions along with corporate management with the move. The company anticipates that the headquarters move will be completed in October.
“Lime Energy is excited to connect to the emerging energy hub in North Carolina” stated John O’Rourke, President and CEO of Lime Energy. “Lime Energy has built a national platform that makes clean energy a reality for our government, commercial and utility customers. Lime Energy has grown 30 percent year over year for the past three years and reported record backlog in its most recent earnings call.”
Lime has added approximately 15 jobs in 2011 related to the headquarters move and 35 jobs in North Carolina in the past year. The company employs approximately 100 people in North Carolina and over 400 nationally and anticipates adding an additional 50-75 jobs over the next 12-24 months. Lime is also expanding its space at the Kenton Place development on Sam Furr Road in Huntersville to accommodate the additional employees.
