Gulfeagle Supply Doubles Charlotte Base
Gulfeagle Supply, a Tampa-based commercial and residential roofing distributor, recently purchased 2004 Bancroft Street, a 33,000 sq. ft. facility that now houses the company’s Charlotte operations. Located just north of Uptown near the intersection of North Graham and West 24th Streets, the building more than doubles Gulfeagle’s inside storage capacity for roofing products and also provides two acres of secured exterior storage.
As a result of its larger warehouse capacity, Gulfeagle Supply has increased local staff from 8 to 15 and doubled the size of its delivery truck fleet.
Scott Dumler of Mohr Partners represented Gulfeagle Supply during the purchase of 2004 Bancroft Street. Ian Bertolina of Bertolina Commercial Real Estate Services represented the building owner.
Branch manager and Charlotte native John Reel took over Gulfeagle’s local operation in 2008 after running the company’s branch in Montgomery, AL. Says Reel,
“By moving the branch to such a nice and convenient facility that more than triples our inventory capacity, and by adding three new delivery trucks, we were able to expand our inventory selection and capacity and serve our current contractor base in a much more efficient fashion. As a Charlottean, I am very proud to lead this expansion and almost double our local employee base. I am blessed to be home and have access to such an excellent workforce and staff.”
The Charlotte Chamber assisted Gulfeagle Supply during its initial evaluation of available commercial real estate and state and local support programs.
