Charlotte Chamber President Bob Morgan visited Martin Luther King Middle School in the Hidden Valley community this week. He was there to spotlight the non-profit program Citizen Schools and their efforts to help underprivledged students achieve success in life.

A member of the chamber, Citizen Schools partners with business and other organizationsto bring volunteers into the lives of students.The program runs throughout the school year during after school hours and is offered at Eastway Middle School as well as Martin Luther King Middle.

Coming up on February 2, the organization's 6 Degrees of Charlotte event will take place. The event uses the power of online and in-person networking to help kids achieve their college and career goals. If you'd like to get involved, click here to learn more and register.
