Charlotte regional IT organizations will come together on December fourth to launch IT-ology, a non-profit collaboration of businesses, academic institutions and other organizations dedicated to growing the IT talent pipeline and advancing the IT profession. Charlotte business, educational and organizational leaders will engage in an informative discussion on the many ways Charlotte is working together to build the IT talent pipeline from ‘Zero to the CIO’.

The event will take place from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. at  the Wells Fargo Auditorium at Knight Theater, 430 S. Tryon Street. To register go to http://it-oLogy-charlotte.eventbrite.com. Parking is available at the Duke Energy Center Garage. Hosts include: Apparo BIG, Ballantyne IT, BDPA, CASN Business, Charlotte SIM, CRTEC, IT-oLogy, NCTA and Packard Place.

With messages from Mayor Anthony Foxx, NC Speaker of the House Thom Tillis, and Jeff Stovall, CIO City of Charlotte, as the Master of Ceremonies.

 IT-oLogy executive director Lonnie Emard will moderate a panel discussion with these distinguished guests:

• Frank Boncimino, CIO, Time Warner Cable

• Dr. Teresa Dahlberg, Associate Dean, College of Computing and Informatics

 • UNC Charlotte

• Pamela Howze, Training and Development Manager, Siemens

• Dr. Ken Russell, Enterprise Strategy, Cisco and President, Charlotte SIM

• Karla Shields, Director Computer Technology Institute, CPCC

• Jim Van Fleet, Charlotte Entrepreneur and Development Community

Special guests include Mayor Anthony Foxx, and NC Speaker of the House Thom Tillis.  Jeff Stovall, CIO City of Charlotte, will serve as the Master of Ceremonies.
