Instructions on How to Select a Winner
Vendor selection is a two-step process. At any time, you may log in to the system to view the bids that have been placed for your project. Once the due date for proposals has arrived, the project is set to Closed status. After the project has closed and you have had ample time to review bids, you may log in to the system to select a winning bidder. The winner will receive an email notification from the system. At this point you will follow up with the winner via the contact information provided with the bid.
View bids that have been placed
- Login to MarketPlace using your userid/password
- Click MarketPlace Menu on the top right
- Click My Projects from the MarketPlace menu
- You will see a list of Proposals you have created in the system
- Here you can see how many visitors have viewed your project and how many have placed bids
- To view bids that have been placed, click the (View) link to the left of the project name
- To see details of an individual bid, click the (View) link to the left of the bid
- Here you will find the contact information for the bidders and answers to the qustions you posed
- Once the Due Date and Time have passed, the project will be listed with a Status of Closed
- You may not select a winning bidder until the project has closed
Select a Vendor
- Take time to thoroughly review the bids submitted for your project
- Once you decide on a vendor that meets your needs, log back into MarketPlace
- Click MarketPlace Menu on the top right
- Click My Projects from the MarketPlace menu
- Click the (Edit) link to the left of the closed project
- There will be a drop down list with the names of the members that have submitted a bid to your project.
- Choose the winner's name from the list and click Submit
- An email will automatically be sent to the winning bidder notifying them that they have been awarded the project
This system is a point of contact for organizations to help with their procurement needs. The Chamber does not facilitate the selection process other than connecting the buyer with the supplier. After you select the winner, it is your responsibility to contact the winner directly using contact information that was provided when the bid was submitted.
