This session will provide a general overview of the U.S. economy and examine the various drivers of growth at the present stage of the economic cycle. Given that House has approved the Fiscal Cliff deal, we will also learn at this session what this result means and the work that still needs to be done. Join the East Chapter for an in-depth presentation by Tim Quinlan, Wells Fargo Economist.
Given the post-election focus on the U.S. fiscal situation, this session will consider prospects for balancing the budget and avoiding the fiscal cliff. Given the threat to the global economy stemming from the sovereign debt crisis in Europe, Tim will also provide some perspective around the challenges in the Eurozone. Based in Charlotte for the past 11 years, he is also in a position to discuss the unique economic challenges for the state of North Carolina as well as economic developments here in the Queen City.
