The Charlotte Chamber is pleased to offer expanded Career Center services through a partnership with NCWorks Charlotte, which is itself a partnership between Charlotte Works, the workforce development board for Charlotte and Mecklenburg County, and the N.C. Division of Workforce Solutions. Together, they serve job-seekers and businesses, providing resources to develop a skilled workforce that meets employer needs.
Central Piedmont Community College, with funding from the Department of Labor, offers scholarships in the exciting and in-demand field of information technology.
The REACH IT initiative provides technical training and career coaching for mid-career level professionals that are unemployed or underemployed. The technical training includes leading edge technology skills so participants can offer employers solutions to their everyday business needs.
Awarded scholarships include tuition, course materials and supplies, as well as career coaching.
