The 2017 Transportation & Infrastructure Summit, Thursday, April 27 will convene hundreds of business and public sector leaders to address the region's path forward on current transportation issues. Freight mobility and the global perspective from air, sea and rail to the local economic impact will be covered. A round table conversation with NC Transportation Secretary Jim Trodgon; Tracy Dodson, vice president, Lincoln Harris, NC DOT board member; NC Representative Bill Brawley, District 103; and Representative John Torbett, District 108, chair of transportation committee conclude the program.

Technology Summit

The 4th annual Charlotte Chamber Technology Summit will be held on Friday, August 19 at the Sheraton Hotel in uptown Charlotte. Attendees from previous summits include CIO's, CTO’s technologists, education partners, and a diverse cross section of business and non-profit leaders. With over 42,000 information technology professionals working in the Charlotte area, the field is ripe for opportunity and primed for growth. The region is expected to add an additional 5,000 information technology jobs by 2020, outpacing the state and national growth rate for IT jobs.
